FOR ONE WEEK ONLY .. THE BIG GIVE WEEK
For One Week only ....

It is that time of year again (no, not that festive one!) and we are very excited to announce that ServeDirect has been selected again to take part in the annual Big Give Christmas Appeal. Last November, the one week of Big Give donations really exploded into action with extraordinary results - and so we are asking for your help again! 

 

From Tuesday November 28th - Tuesday December 5th, for the one week only, each and every donation will be DOUBLED during The Big Give Christmas Appeal. For example, last year, all the many donations made during the campaign, were doubled to over £40,000! A great result which supported many ServeDirect projects all year.

For 2023, we have a specific and very exciting focus on improving literacy, which we have been writing about for a while. All money raised will directly fund these areas:

  • construction of 20 Mobile Library units to go into selected schools
  • thousands of books for these Mobile Libraries, a project which is growing faster than we could ever have expected
  • funding of teacher trainers to help roll out the programme in the schools
  • more books for the Wobulenzi Town Academy library to promote research, general knowledge and further develop the students' reading culture
To put this more directly, IF you are thinking of donating, or IF you are able to donate to ServeDirect in the next few months - or IF you would like to be creative in your Christmas giving, this is the week to donate. The 'double your money' option only works during the campaign week.
 
Last year, all the money raised helped provide for a new Art & Media Room, a new Science Lab, two new Dormitories and many resources for the Connect Education Centres. We were able to do everything we had hoped for and talked about during the Big Give campaign - and more! Thank you for all your help last year.
